Campaign Story
Bopoma Villages is a charitable organization established in 2012 to serve orphans and the poor in Zaka District. It is governed by two boards, Bopoma Village Trust, a charitable trust established in 2012, and Bopoma Village Welfare Organization, a PVO formed in 2015 to operate a children’s home and conduct community work. The PVO directed the project work and acted as the employer of staff.
Bopoma Villages partners with local churches in rural Zimbabwe to support orphaned children and their caregivers. They are currently working with 8 churches to develop and train teams of church members to conduct regular home visits and offer practical and spiritual support to orphaned children and their caregivers. They are also working with local churches to develop a foster care plan for orphaned children.
