Campaign Story

Makomborero partners with NDEIPI? to teach people how they can earn an income using their skills, resources close at hand & very little capital. Participants receive training on income generation, running a small start-up & how to manage money. They are given a US$1 loan, to be paid back once they make a profit. They aim to expand the project by availing it to more people within the community.

The main goal of the course is to help participants to create growing, sustainable businesses and to empower the poor to be entrepreneurs and philanthropists by empowering others with the knowledge, skills and micro-loans extended to the participants. Upon completion of the course participants are awarded a certificate if they have pitched their business, repaid the loan advanced to them and have taught and empowered another person with a micro loan.
