Midlands Children Hope Centre runs a drop-in centre and a children’s home. At the Drop-in Centre, street children come from Monday to Friday for feeding, life skills, counselling, sports, and other activities. We do family tracing reunifications if funds are available, and these children get educational assistance from the organisation whilst they are at their homes. The target for 2023 is to reunify 30 children with their families. We also do outreach activities in the streets at least once a week. On average we feed a minimum of 15 children to a maximum of 30 children every day. At the children’s home we have a capacity to house 20 children and all the children are going to school. MCHC has a nutrition garden and children help with the garden duties. Children get medical assistance when they are sick, and we also offer referral support to those with special needs. The organisation also works with vulnerable children from the community and their families. Children and youths from the community attend kids and youth clubs.
