Campaign Story

Newstart Children’s Home aims to provide care, support, and protection to eighty-eight (88) orphans and vulnerable children within its care. The home has one Administrator, three Cooks, one Matron, one Boarding Master, one Security Officer, one Social Worker and a Chaplain. A doctor conducts health check-ups and the institution provides medicines. All the children are provided with three meals, one set of books and 4 sets of uniforms and regular dresses/clothes. The institution also seeks to construct cluster homes to move away from dormitory style accommodation to smaller family units. Every child has opportunity for indoor and out-door recreation and play facilities along with training in crafts, vocational skills, hobbies, and several life skills. Occasionally, the children are taken for day trips and weekend camps around the country for them to experience of life outside the Newstart Campus.

OBJECTIVE: Empower orphans, disadvantaged and vulnerable children physically, socially, economically, and spiritually through practical life skills training for self-reliance. It also seeks to provide state-of-the art facilities for the Institution in order to achieve the broad objective.
