Campaign Story
Rekai Tangwena Children`s Home was founded in the early 80s by the late Bishop Livingstone Nerwande of Holy Cross Fellowship Church. The institution was later registered with the Ministry of Social Welfare in 2006. Bishop Nerwande became popular in assisting vulnerable children from surrounding communities to an extent that communities began dropping abandoned children at his house. The number of children grew and the establishment of a children`s home was mooted.
A lot of children have passed through this life changing home and are now living their independent lives. Currently the home houses 24 children comprising of 14 girls and 10 boys.
