Campaign Story

Sacred Heart Home was founded in 1946 by the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood for Coloured and Asian children who were found to be in need because of the situation at that time. As the number increased and the need to include African children who also needed help. The home has a Primary School, and a Secondary School has been opened since 2014. Now the Home has no residential children but operates as a place for safety for children brought by Social Welfare for protection and safety for children as need arises.

Objectives

• Providing shelter for orphans and vulnerable children.

• Ensuring that children receive parental care, love, and guidance.

• Providing necessities such as food and clothes.

• Grooming children into responsible, independent and life skills-equipped adults.

• Providing a strong Christian base for our children.

• Facilitating children’s education and ensuring that they remain healthy.
