Campaign Story

The University of Zimbabwe Kariba AIDS Project is dedicated to HIV/AIDS prevention, education, support, and research efforts in the Kariba area. Its activities may include:

Implementing HIV/AIDS awareness and education campaigns to promote prevention methods, encourage regular testing, and reduce stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.
Providing HIV testing and counseling services to community members to increase access to testing and facilitate early diagnosis and treatment for individuals living with HIV.
Offering support services and referrals to medical care, treatment, and social support programs for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and their families.
Conducting research studies, data collection, and analysis related to HIV/AIDS prevalence, risk factors, healthcare access, and outcomes in the Kariba region.
Collaborating with local healthcare providers, community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to strengthen the HIV/AIDS response, improve healthcare systems, and advocate for policies that support HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care.
